Chinese World Cultural Heritage Foundation

Heritage is our legacy from the past, what we live with today, and what we pass on to future generations. Our cultural and natural heritages are both irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration. Unique and diverse places make up the world's heritage.

As a country, China has a long history, rich culture, and plentiful tourist attractions, which stretch beyond the great mountains, beautiful rivers, spectacular architecture of historic times, to include the numerous archaic treasures and relics, providing a seamless integration of the scenic nature and human civilisation. The abundant relics and treasures illuminate the wisdom and hard work of Chinese people. One can feel the depth of Chinese civilisation when immersed in such a natural environment.

Topping the list of Chinese world heritage are the Imperial Palace, the Temple of Heaven, the Great Wall, the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, the Mogao Caves, the Longmen Grottoes , the Old Town of Lijiang, the Peking Man Site at Zhoukoudian, and the Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. All these great masterpieces require enormous resources to preserve and protect. Chinese World Cultural Heritage Foundation has been set up for this purpose.

Our Foundation is a non-profit making organization dedicated to the protection of cultural heritage. We advocate the preservation, protection, accumulation and promotion of China 's rich and diverse historical and cultural legacy. The Foundation serves the conservation community through research, education and training, field projects, and the dissemination of information, with a view to preserving the civilization of the Chinese culture and values, to promote the international understanding of the Chinese's deep-rooted fundamental nature of quest for excellence and interest in artistic pursuit, believe in doing the best in anything by applying innovative technology with artistry, with passion, peace and harmony for all mankind.

Through the development of a range of websites and cultural digitization projects, we aim to provide everyone the opportunity to explore various aspects of Chinese history and legacy, as well as experience cultural, artistic and educational enrichment. The over-arching goal of the Foundation is for China 's heritage and culture to be better understood and appreciated, and to be valued by everyone.

The success of our goal will be dependent on how well we manage to preserve our past for our future generation but this goal is too pretentious for any one single handed. We therefore look to various social groups and individuals for support to help at least pass the message, and most important of all, to articulate such message to the international community and our children that the Chinese culture is one of friendliness, love of peace and harmony.

The Foundation is a joint program of two non-profit organizations, A Better Tomorrow and Chinese Literature Foundation. A Better Tomorrow is an international philanthropic institution devoted to building a better tomorrow for all of us and our future generations.
