“Seated upon the throne, he should thoroughly teach this sutra,
he should read what is written, and likewise understand it.
When he comes down from the throne, although he may go to another place,
miracles will be seen there upon the throne.
At times, the form of The Dharma preacher will be observed; at others,
Buddha and Bodhisattva figures will be seen.
Sometimes the shape of Samantabhadra, likewise the forms of Manjusri,
and on occasion Maitreya too will appear upon that throne.
At times, only light will be seen; at times, there will be gods,
appearing just for moments, and turning invisible again.
Praised when seen, Buddhas bring success in all places.
Grain and signs of excellent fortune are magical creations of Buddhas.”

It is powerful in many ways – it has strong healing power; it can make your wish come true; it can bring peace and joy to all beings, and achieve Buddhist fulfillment. It is effective in enhancing world peace and protecting one's country. For those who long for peace, this is a way to achieve peace, without having to harm, criticize or threaten others. This is the way Buddha teaches us to follow. Every person who longs for world peace, regardless of your religion, should recite Sutra of Golden Light.
The Sutra can protect your country from natural disasters originating from earth, water, fire and wind, such as earthquakes, floods, fires, tornadoes, even twisters. These natural disasters are hardly “natural” for they actually take root in negative causes that allow danger to happen, such as negative thoughts, negative karmas and negative relationships. The benefit of reciting Sutra of Golden Light is unfathomable. As stated in the Sutra, the blessings one receives from reciting Sutra of Golden Light exceed the rewards one will ever receive even if you devote innumerable treasures to the Buddhas.
Reciting the Sutra will guide you to become Buddha. The blessings received by reciting the Sutra will help you in every way – because of the tremendous spiritual achievements you have completed, you will be blessed with a smooth and successful life and all your wishes will come true. The Sutra can release all beings from repetitive transmigration of the souls and lead them to become Buddha.
