Both Tibetan Buddhism and Chinese Buddhism
come under the banner of Buddhism, and
have common features. For example, both
acknowledge the Four Seals of the Dharma
and convert to the triratna. According
to Buddhist doctrines, the followers should
show compassion and stand up against the
evil in order to remove their miseries
and sufferings.
Both Tibetan Buddhism and Chinese Buddhism
come under Mahayana and have common features.
For example, the followers show mercy
for mankind and attain two kinds of Buddha
bodies on the basis of the six transcendent
practices.
Due to the differences in culture, environment,
and believers’ lifestyle, Tibetan Buddhism
and Chinese Buddhism have attained different
characteristics in terms of daily lives,
regulations, appearance and style of their
temples and Buddhist statues, religious
customs, thoughts and so on. Despite such
superficial differences, the essence of
Tibetan Buddhism and Chinese Buddhism,
is the same.
