The exhibition “Peace and Harmony – The Divine Spectra of Manjusri” presents an opportunity for all of us to yet again admire Dr. Paul Kan's unrelenting quest for true wisdom, righteousness and harmony between human and Nature. In the world so much preoccupied nowadays with money-making his repeated endeavor to inspire us to reflect upon the spiritual part of our existence and indeed ourselves is of great value, something perhaps even more noteworthy when one remembers how successful a businessman he is himself.

A concept of doing this while at the same time presenting the audience with unique and beautiful pieces of an ancient art representing part of the Chinese heritage has already been exploited by Paul Kan in the past, every time however we find it equally interesting and artistically beautiful. One has to admire the workmanship of those old masters and craftsmen who designed and made material objects of such beauty as well as their strong beliefs reflected in objects of their creation so vivid even today, hundreds of years later.

Since the exhibition is presented as part of overall celebrations to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China one would hope that the universal message it carries will not be considered as something belonging to the past and to this part of our world only but will be looked upon as a message for us and generations to come around the globe. Our currently relatively peaceful world however with its existence threatened more than ever by global warming, pollution, acid rain and rapid disappearance of natural habitat – phenomena all caused by human activity, is in a desperate need for such reflection.
