Buddhism emphasizes a lot on predestined relations, causes and consequence, and longs for positive outcome and relationships. For obvious reasons, the popularity of Jambhala, the god who protects and takes care of financial matters, is usually transcendent. However, it is very important for us to bear in mind that we should only make money in an ethical manner, and with wisdom. While positive causes and relationships may bring us wealth, we should use our wealth to generate more positive actions for the benefit of others. In turn, we will be able to accumulate even more resources, blessings and positive causes and relationships, hence contributing peace and harmony to the community. In this chapter, I am pleased to share with you some treasures of Chinese Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism, including the gold, silver, bronze, and jade statues of Sakyamuni, Avalokitesvara, Vajrasattva, Cundi Bodhisattva… that have been entrusted to my custody in this life. The centrepiece will be Jambhalas, who appeared in many images – Ganesha, Vaisravana, The Five Great Jambhalas, etc. in Tibetan Buddhism. May the Jambhalas help people from different corners to work hard towards establishing a world of peace and harmony.
