I warmly congratulate the Champion Group and all others concerned in presenting in Hong Kong the Exhibition “Peace and Harmony – the Devine Spectra of China's Fragrant Harbour, with 108 Aloes of Sacred Scripture and Related Artifacts”. The Exhibition will highlight for many people the fascinating story of aloe and its relationship to religion and culture both in Asia and in Europe, and its special significance to Hong Kong. For many this will be their first opportunity to learn of this story, and of the role that spices and incense have played in developing trade and other links between East and West. Presenting the exhibition here in Hong Kong also very appropriately reflects Hong Kong's own long role in promoting such links.
