I would like to congratulate all those involved in the organisation of the exhibition “Peace and Harmony – The Divine Spectra of China's Fragrant Harbour, with 108 Aloes of Sacred Scripture and Related Artifacts”, yet another memorable event, part of the “Peace and Harmony” series.

Initiatives like these contribute to a better understanding and appreciation of China, of its people and of its deep and ancient culture. While Hong Kong gets its name of ‘Fragrant Harbour’ from the Aloe tree, the Turkish people, situated at the other end of the Silk Road, also traditionally enjoyed what this plant had to offer.

On this occasion, I would also thank personally Mr. Paul Kan, colleague and dear friend, for his role in this initiative, which will undoubtedly be a success.
