It is a great pleasure to submit a short message to the illustrative book of the exhibition “Peace and Harmony – The Divine Spectra of China's Fragrant Harbour, with 108 Aloes of Sacred Scripture and Related Artifacts.”

The exhibition will make an important contribution to the appreciation and understanding, both in Hong Kong and internationally, of this aspect of Chinese civilization and history. I am sure it will also enhance cultural understanding and links between China and the international community.

I am sure the exhibition will be a success and serve well its purpose to increase the public's awareness and understanding of Chinese history, values, culture and arts. The exhibition will show the depth of artistic skill that has been present in Chinese civilization since ancient times.

I would like to congratulate the Hong Kong SAR Government Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Chinese World Cultural Heritage Foundation and not least Mr. Paul Kan, Chair of Champion Technology Group for bringing this wonderful exhibition to all of us.
