Agarwood Brush Pots
 
A brush pot is a vessel for holding brushes and is an essential stationery article for the literati in ancient times. There were already written accounts about brush pots back in the Three Kingdoms period. A wide range of materials have been used to make brush pots, among which intact pieces of the roots of agarwood are the most valuable. Agarwood brush pots are skillfully carved from thick roots, in line with the unique shapes of the knots and how their lines intersect, into stately and classical artworks of woodcarvings...........
