The Chinese nation has been bound with incense from antiquity. Incense has never vanished in China throughout the ebb and flow of history, and it flourished all the more during the prosperous epochs. Legacies of the glorious days include the Dunhuang Caves, a world-famous gem of Buddhist art and culture; the “Agarwood Pavilion”, which bears an anecdote between Emperor Ming of Tang and Consort Yang in the ancient capital of Chang'an; and the painting “Along the River during the Qingming Festival”, which captures the prosperous scenes of Bianliang, the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty. In the meantime, let's take a journey back to the heyday of fragrances and bathe in the aura of ancient incense culture.
